Hudson Maple Cask Rye is a super-premium, not “flavored whiskey”. No flavoring has been added; just the influence of the maple syrup-infused oak casks gives this whiskey its natural, rounded sweetness. This whiskey is distilled from rye grain, aged less than four years in oak, and then finished in mature rye whiskey in casks that once held artisanal maple syrup. This process imparts a hint of natural, round sweetness, mellowing the rye spice and producing a rich and balanced whiskey with notes of pepper, vanilla toffee, black tea, earthy maple and oak.
