Established in 2005, Kavalan is Taiwan’s first whiskymaker and the nation’s only family-owned whisky distillery. Kavalan takes the old name of Yilan county, where the distillery is located in northeastern Taiwan. The pure water and fresh air make this part of the subtropical island the ideal environment for the production of whisky. In this select single malt, Kavalan Distillery creates rich, yet mellow layered taste, using consummately skilled barrel art and blending workmanship. Sweet, mellow and smooth in the mouth, the balanced taste is the perfect blending of barrel craft. The unique tropical fruit fragrances of Kavalan and the cream caramel embellished with wood and vanilla scents offer the ideal lingering flavors. Suitable for drinking alone or in a cocktail.
